Obituary for Roy Eugene Shipp

Funeral services for Mr. Roy E. Shipp will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lloyd Bye officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation for Mr. Shipp will be from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m on Tuesday November 24, 2020 at the funeral home.
Mr. Shipp, age 67 of Pineville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Shipp was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved his family and was very involved with his grandchildren and their sports. He loved to deer hunt, white perch fish and will be missed by all that knew and loved him. He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church, worked as a television cable lineman for many years, was a reserve deputy for the Rapides Sheriff's office and a reserve officer for the Pineville police department.
Mr. Shipp was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Meritis Shipp and two brothers, Darryl Shipp and Marshall Shipp.
Mr Shipp is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Irene M. Shipp; two daughters, Michelle Hay and husband, Michael and Ericka Shipp; six grandchildren, Makinley Hay, Jailey Hay, Kaelan Shipp, Ethan Wooten, Brady Wooten and Jayceon Wooten; one sister, Kathy Gypin and a brother, Jack Shipp, Jr. and wife Terri and many friends.
