Obituary for Rose Wedgeworth Brodnax
Funeral Services for Rose Wedgeworth Brodnax, will be held at 12: 00 Noon on Thursday, April 13, 2023 with a visitation from 10:00 AM until service time at Fellowship Methodist Church, 7426 LA 112, Elmer, Louisiana, with Reverend David Carlton officiating and under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Rose Wedgeworth Brodnax, age 94, entered eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at her home in Alexandria, Louisiana surrounded by her loving family.
Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Archie Lee Brodnax; her son, William “Bill” Brodnax; her parents, James A. and Hattie Wedgeworth; and her 8 siblings.
She is survived by her children, Dianne ”Dee” Jeansonne (Mike), and Janice Adkins (Ricky) ; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of other family and friends.
A devoted and faithful Christian lady, Rose loved to read, fish, and garden. Above all, her passion was spending quality time with her cherished grandchildren whom she loved so dearly. A wonderful mother, grandmother and friend, she will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. A special thanks to the caring staff of Harbor Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Fellowship Methodist Cemetery.
