Obituary for Ronnie W. Maxey
Funeral services for Ronnie W. Maxey will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, September 29, 2022 at First Baptist Church Dry Prong, 920 US 167 in Dry Prong, Louisiana with Reverends Kirk Maxey and Lloyd Whitman officiating and under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana. Interment to follow at Dry Prong Cemetery in Dry Prong, Louisiana.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Grant Maxey, Prator White,
Mason Maddox, Keith Newton, Richard Bonner, and Bill Hocke.
Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until service time on Thursday, September 29, 2022.
Mr. Ronnie W. Maxey went to be with The Lord on Monday, September 26, 2022 at his residence in Dry Prong, Louisiana surrounded by his loving family.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his granddaughters, Madeline Grace Maxey and Annette Elizabeth Maxey; his parents, Otha and Lorraine Maxey; his sister, Margaret Williams; and his brothers, James "Buck" Maxey, Jerry Maxey, Acy Maxey, and Jerrel "Kid" Maxey.
Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Shirley Maxey; his loving children, Ashley White (Prator), and Kirk Maxey (Natalie); his treasured grandchildren, Landon Jordan, Conner Maddox, Mason Maddox, and Grant Maxey; his cherished great granddaughter, Skylar Jordan; his brother, John Maxey; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Mr. Maxey was a retired Manufacturing Analyst with Dresser Industries after 35 years of faithful service. An avid outdoorsman and fisherman, Ronnie also enjoyed hunting and gardening. Above all, he loved spending time with his family. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
