Obituary for Ronald Cletis Trapp

Funeral services for Ronald Cletis Trapp of Pineville, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Terry Riddick officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Ball, Louisiana.

Visitation for Mr. Trapp will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Shannon “Shane” Trapp, Jason “Levi” Trapp, Brian “Keith” Trapp, Jr., Jeffery Trapp, Mark Trapp, and Jacob Grammon. Honorary pallbearers are Sawyer Trapp, Yosha Goudeau, Chris Goudeau, Freddy Goudeau, Andre Bordelon, and Merrick Roberts.

Ronald Cletis Trapp, age 86, known to his childhood friends and family as “Runt” and his later and current friends and family as “R.C.”, entered eternal life on Friday, February 25, 2022 at his residence in Pineville, surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Mary Motley Trapp; his great grandson, Jaxon Mayeux; his parents, Alfred “Bud” Trapp and Inice Trapp; his brother, Morgan “Buster” Trapp; and his 2 sisters, Ever Lou Pennington and Reba Roberts.

He left a wonderful legacy to cherish his memory of his 3 sons, Ronald “Dwain” Trapp (Patricia), Michael T. Trapp, Sr., ; and Brian “Keith” Trapp (Angela); his daughter, Cheryl “Denise” Moreau; his 10 grandchildren, Shannon “Shane” Trapp, Jason “Levi” Trapp, Tammy “Michelle” Trapp, Michael T. Trapp, Jr., Tamara “Melissa” Trapp, Brian “Keith” Trapp, Jr., Jeffery Trapp, Mark Trapp, Julie Mayeux, and Kayla Faulk; his 23 great grandchildren; his great great grandchildren; his numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

R.C. was involved in several businesses throughout the years, primarily in construction. He was the owner of Trapp General Construction and retired in telephone construction. He was also a farmer and cattleman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding and working with his tractor, gardening, yardwork, garage sales, and singing gospel songs. He was a very special man who touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He loved talking, and never met a stranger. R.C. worked hard every day of his life without complaint. His love for his family was very strong and he loved to spend special time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family meant everything to him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, he requested that donations be made to St. Jude children’s Hospital.
