Obituary for Roger Lee Moore
Mr. Roger Lee Moore, age 44, of Sieper, LA, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at his residence. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home.
Services for Mr. Moore will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 10:00AM in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, LA. The visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Gallagher Funeral Home from 5:00PM until 8:00pm. Burial will follow the service in Hemphill Star Cemetery under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.
Mr. Roger was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. He was a hard worker, working with DOTD for 29 years. Mr. Roger enjoyed deer hunting, coaching his daughter's softball team, and was a big Jeff Gordon fan. He deeply loved his family and was proud of his son for pursuing his Engineering Degree at LA Tech. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Walker Moore; and father-n-law, Danny Rachow; maternal grandfather, Ed Coleman; step-grandfather, Ted Johnson; maternal grandmother, Neva Down Coleman Johnson; paternal grandparents, Jessie and Lee Moore.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Laura Rachow Moore; son, Devin Lee Moore; daughter, Ava Elizabeth Moore; parents, Richard and Betty Moore; brothers, Ricky VanAsselburg and Josh Rachow (Caitlin); sisters, Rita Moore and Katie Rachow; mother-n-law, Brenda Rachow; ex-wife, Jessica Gentry; and a host of nieces, nephews, and softball family.
Pallbearers honored to serve include; Brad Turney, Jacob Floyd, Brent Johnson, Ricky VanAsselburg, Rodney Dale VanAsselburg; and Josh Rachow. Honorary Pallbearers are the members of Springs Hunting Club.
