Obituary for Robert L. "Bob" Powell
Funeral Services for Robert L. Powell, will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana. Interment to follow at Tioga Cemetery in Tioga, Louisiana.
A Visitation will take place from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Robert L.”Bob” Powell, age 72, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at his home in Tioga, Louisiana.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ray L. Powell, Sr. and Edna Lazelle Stewart Powell; and his sister Myra Frazier.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Ray L. Powell, Jr., Max A. Powell (Linda), Martin “Bo” Powell (Linda), Tim R. Powell (Lisa), and Leah Lazelle Bedgood (Danny); his pride and joy, Missy; other family and friends.
A graduate of Bolton High School, Bob was a proud US Navy Veteran, seeing action in Vietnam aboard the USS Ranger. A classic car enthusiast, he enjoyed working on his cars, fishing, and spending time with his brothers and his beloved Missy. He loved crawfish and loved to cook them for his family. A wonderful brother, and friend, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
