Obituary for Robert Kevin Fredieu

It is with broken hearts that we share our loss. Kevin went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 2, 2022, after a battle with liver cancer at home surrounded by family and his hospice nurse, Kayla. Kevin was born in Alexandria, LA on April 10, 1968. He spent his childhood in LaPlace, LA. In his heart he always considered LaPlace to be his hometown. He was an iron worker traveling all over the United States until he came to settle in Montgomery, LA.
Kevin loved to take old broken items and repair, restore, and paint them to give them new life. He loved taking care of flowers and doing yardwork. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Kevin is survived by his mother Shirley Gray, stepfather Bobby Reeves, his sister Belinda Fowler (James “Scooter”), his brothers Keith Fredieu (Brenda), J.P. Thompson (Ashley), Bobby Thompson, Jr., Terence “Moose” Thompson.
Kevin is also survived by his two sons that he loved dearly, Tevin Fredieu (Shian) and Dillon Fredieu and the true loves of his life, his granddaughters, Macy Rayne and Mya Serenity.
He is preceded by his father Owen “Bo” Fredieu, Jr. and his stepfather Bobby Thompson, Sr.
We want to extend a very special thank you to B.J. Colvin and his staff at the Montgomery Family Clinic, Montgomery Pharmacy, and Harbor Hospice, his nurse Kayla and aide Courtney for their care and compassion. Thank you to all of Kevin’s special friends who’s visits always lifted his spirits.
Kevin’s wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held to honor his life at a later date.
