Obituary for Robbie Dea Coody

Robbie Dea Coody, age 75 of Marksville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at her residence.

Visitation for Robbie Dea will be Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 9:00-11:00 am at Gallagher Funeral Home. Services will be at Gallagher Funeral Home on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11:00 am with interment following at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Reverends Robin Johnson, Tim Mahoney and Terry Hoyt officiating.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Tony Normand, Ray Ogborn, Dusty Moore, Dalton Johnson, Zack Paul and Memphis Rogers. Honorary pallbearer will be Kenneth Killian.

Robbie Dea is preceded in death by her parents, Reverend R.W. Coody and Bertha Beavers Coody; sisters, Lorraine Coody Moore, Velma Joy Coody Gass, Shelby Jean Coody and Vivian Lucille Coody; grandson, Seth Johnson and a brother-in-law, Clyde Moore.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, JaJuanna Chelette Ogborn (Ray); son, Reverend Robin Johnson (Lisa); grandchildren, Robbyn Rogers, Dalton Johnson (Maddy), JayLee Ogborn and Carleza Johnson; and great grandchildren, Memphis Rogers and Emberly Johnson.

Robbie Dea was a prayer warrior and hosted a Midnight Prayer Group for many years. She was of the Pentecostal faith and taught Sunday School for over 40 years. She was the piano player and worship leader at Ball Pentecostal Church and Esler Field Pentecostal Church under her father, Reverend R.W. Coody. Robbie Dea was a member of “The Apostolic Messengers” with her sister, Velma Joy Coody Gass and her nephew, Kenneth Killian. She was active in church activities including Christmas and Easter Programs, Banquets, Fellowship Meetings, Youth Rallys, Youth Camps and Camp Meetings.

Robbie Dea was a Beautician at Tioga Manor Nursing Home and a School Bus Aide for special needs children.
