Obituary for Ricky Lynn Harris

Ricky Lynn Harris was born on December 22, 1959 to the union of his parents Ikey E. And Shirley Douglas Harris. Ricky went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 16, 2022 in the arms of his loving wife at Ochsner LSU Shreveport, LA.
Ricky spent his career in the oilfield and later offshore as an I&E Technician. He enjoyed playing music at an early age, learning to play many instruments by ear. He played in many bands throughout high school and later in life. He was also a licensed AC & electric repairman.
Ricky enjoyed many hobbies and pastimes, helping out others, riding motorcycles, gardening, tinkering with many projects and making To-Do lists. Ricky, AKA Poppa,
Pops and Uncle Poppa, especially cherished every moment with his Pride & Joys, his grandchildren to teach, laugh and love.
Ricky was proceeded in death by his mother, Shirley and sister Jennifer Harris.
Those left to cherish his precious memory are the love of his life and 35 years of marriage, DeLane Loe Harris of Tullos, LA. His children, son Christopher Harris of Tioga, daughters Kimberly Harris Watts of Pineville and Ashly A Lott (Hue)of Tullos. His grandchildren Ashton Poche, Alaina Whitehead, Aaron Whitehead and Cooper Watts. His father Ikey (Merlene) of Urania. His sister Kelly (Kevin) Daugherty, his nephews Ryan Daugherty, William Merchant, great niece Anna Belle Daugherty, his father and mother-in-law Shelby and Dorris Lane (DeeDee) Loe as well as Uncles, Aunts, cousins, many extended family members and many friends who knew him.
Ricky was a faithful man that served the Lord and always shared and spoke the Father’s words to his family and friends who were willing to listen. Ricky had a plethora of knowledge always willing to share. He will be greatly missed by all that were blessed to have known him especially his family, as he was their Rock!
