Obituary for Richard Davies
Richard Forbes Davies, age 84, entered rest on Saturday, March 25, 2023 in Alexandria at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
The visitation for Mr. Davies will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Gallagher Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. The service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel with Reverend Gary Sapp officiating. Interment will follow the service, in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Davies and Ruth Brown.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Ginger Randall Davies; son, Kyle Davies (Misty); step-son, Kyle Moore (Kim); granddaughter, Amanda Moore; and a host of friends.
Mr. Richard Davies was a loving husband, father, and friend. He worked for 20 years at Dresser Industries before starting his own business, Alpine Tool Company, in 1978. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and drag racing. He was one of the founding members of the Alexandria Bass Fishing Club. Mr. Davies also enjoyed travelling the world with his friends. Mr. Davies was also a proud veteran of the US Air Force and will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Justin Netherland, Richard Kyle, Philip Morris, Willis Coco, Robert Barlow, and Mickey Starks. Honorary Pallbearers are Brett Morris, Luc Bordelon, Anthony Horn, and Noah Monk.
