Obituary for Reagan "Tubbers" Deshotel

Visitation for Reagan Deshotel, known to all as “Tubbers”, will be on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 5:00-8:00 pm and resume from 10:00 until the service time on Thursday, May 18, 2023, all at Pineville Park Baptist Church. Services will be at 12:00 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Pineville Park Baptist Church with Brothers Jeremy Shepherd and Brent Dix officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with a meal at Pineville Park afterwards.

Tubbers left hospital beds, wheelchairs, and feeding tubes behind and ran on her own two legs to Jesus on Sunday, May 14th. While we would do anything to have her here with us on this earth, we cling to the knowledge that she is worshipping with her Savior.

Tubbers was born missing part of her brain that led to numerous medical difficulties, but that never stopped her from being a light and joy to anyone that spent time with her. Her smile and laugh made every single day a joyous one.

Those left to cherish her memory of those smiles and laughs are her daddy and mommy, Curt and Kim Stalsby of Pineville; her sisters, Alie Deshotel and Laiken Deshotel, Chandler Rollins (Matt) and their children, Elizabeth and Jameson of Glenmora, Madison Brown (Kody) and their son, Kalahan of Oak Grove; maternal grandfather, Donnie Anders of Alexandria; paternal grandparents, Sandra and Kay Wayne Hargrove of Oakdale and Charles and Jo Ann Stalsby of Oakdale; aunts, uncles, and cousins that were like aunts and uncles, along with Mark Deshotel (Marsha) of Lake Charles; two special ladies, that were considered her “second moms” as they had been her in home nurses for 14 and 11 of the 17 years we were blessed to have her with us, Rhonda Smith of Hessmer and Janine Quebedeaux (Ryan) of Mansura and all of their family members as well. There was no doubt Tubbers was loved and will be missed by all her extended grandparents and siblings as well.

Those waiting to meet her at Heaven’s gate include her maternal grandmothers, Vickie Moreau Anders and Lucy Anders; maternal great grandparents, Murdock and Melba Anders and Rudolph and Rena Mae Moreau; and paternal great grandmothers, Gertie Droddy and Edlois Stalsby.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be her daddy, Brent Dix, Derek Stalsby, Alex Wiggins, Blaise Laird, and Jerry Moreau.

While she may have not been able to leave the house often, throughout her life Tubbers was still able to witness to others. With that being said, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to missions at Pineville Park Baptist Church at 2455 Hwy. 28E, Pineville, La 71360.
