Obituary for Ray Gaspard Sr.
Funeral Service for Ray Gaspard, Sr. will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 20, 2023 with Visitation beginning at 1:00 PM and ending at service time at Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory.
Interment will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 21, 2023 at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano, Louisiana.
Mr. Ray Gaspard, Sr., age 59 of Colfax, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 16, 2023 at his home in Colfax, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family.
Ray was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Joseph Gaspard, Sr.
He is survived by his children, Ray Gaspard, Jr. (Tiffany), and Leslie Gaspard (Rudy); his grandchildren, Kaytlon Gaspard, Antoine Gaspard, Desilynn Gaspard, Nathan Moore, Cameron Soto, and Savannah Soto; his life-long companion, Cindy Briggs; his mother, Joan Gaspard; his siblings, Donald Gaspard (Malinda), Cleta Douglas (Edward), James Gaspard, and Harvey Gaspard, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Ray was a commercial fisherman, shrimper, and a jack of all trades. He loved fishing and hunting. Above all, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the family in his honor.
