Mr. Phillip Dewayne Collins, age 67, entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at his residence in Dry Prong surrounded by his loving family.
Services for Mr. Collins will be held at the First Baptist Church in Dry Prong on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverends Will Hall, Carl Gulde, and Lloyd Whitman officiating. The interment will follow the services in Liberty Chapel Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lewis Collins and Erma Barton Collins; siblings, J.T. Collins, Peggy Smith, Cliff "Buster" Collins, and Doyle Collins.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 48 years, Marlene Chandler Collins; daughter, Shelley McKay (Tommy); brother, Carl Collins and Hershel Collins (Pearline); grandson, Rylan Sharbono, great niece, Audrey Claire Hammond; and a host of extended family and friends.
Mr. Collins was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the piano, and making his own electric guitars. Mr. Collins also enjoyed playing music with his bandmates in Pop's Garage. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
Pallbearers honored to serve include Evan Jackson, Marty Burkes, James Carrol, Bobby Rachal, Colton Chandler, Hunter Dewitt, Will Bryant, Steve Jackson, Devan Fletcher, and Garland Brosette.
