Obituary for Nellie Marie Ducote Bordelon
Mrs. Nellie Marie Ducote Bordelon, age 83, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Matthews Memorial Health Care Center in Alexandria.
The Visitation for Mrs. Nellie Bordelon will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Gallagher Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, with Reverend Shane David officiating. Interment will follow the service, in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Paul Bordelon; daughter, Carolyn Vidrine; parents, Victor Ducote and Essie Andrus Ducote; sister, Anna Donna Bordelon; and brothers, Terry and Jerry Ducote.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Ray Bordelon, Ricky Bordelon (Debbie), Keith Bordelon (Kim), Debbie Mahfouz (Joseph), and Kevin Bordelon (Tammy); grandchildren, Brittney Couvillion (Joel), Ashley Davis (Chris), Keisha Blackmon (Trey), Josh Lacombe (Alesha), Kevie Bordelon, Nikki and Sean Vidrine, Garrett Bordelon, Kathryn Bordelon, Ekaterina Bordelon, and Jamie Bordelon; 16 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild, Baby Krew; brothers, Gary and Greg Burns; sister, Tammy Ducote; and a host of extended family and friends.
Mrs. Nellie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a hard working woman cooking and cleaning for six children. Mrs. Nellie was always taking care of other, whether family or friends, she was there for you. When she had spare time, she enjoyed camping, running the business with her husband, and spending time outdoors. She will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Joel Couvillion, Josh Lacombe, Garrett Bordelon, Dawson Bordelon, Trey Blackmon, and Calvin Bryant. Honorary Pallbearers are Bradley Davis, Jeremy Couvillion, Jase Blackmon, Jackson Bordelon, and Chandler Lacombe.
