A Celebration of the life of Carroll Roshto of Pineville,La will be held on Thursday, March 4th, 2021. Visitation will be on Thursday at Esler Baptist Church from 10am until the time of service at 2pm. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory.
Carroll passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 1, 2021 at his residence. Carroll was born in New Orleans, La and spent his life in Poland, La until leaving for the Marines in 1951. He served in the Korean War as a Sgt. for the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951-1953. Carroll met the love of his life, Ms. Sylvia Duncan, and they spent 66 wonderful years together. He lived a good and Godly life and always lended a helping hand to those in need. Mr. Carroll was a deacon and a member of Esler Baptist Church and loved the Lord very much. He was known all over Central Louisiana for his honesty and work ethic as the owner of Roshto House Movers. Carroll loved his family and was a wonderful husband, daddy, grandfather, and Old Papa. He was well known for his handshake and a smile as he collected and sold his antiques and glassware.
Carroll was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Myrtle Roshto; Wife, Sylvia Duncan Roshto; Daughter, Patricia Ann Scott; Son, Danny Carroll Roshto and 1 sister and 2 brothers. Those left to cherish his memory 1 daughter, Kimberly Roshto Strange and husband Rob of Pineville,La; 1 Daughter in-law, Patricia Canoe Roshto of Bentley,La; 1 sister: Charlene Meade of Pollock,La; and brothers Larry Roshto of Pineville, Merrill Roshto of Pineville, and Charlie Roshto of Alexandria. Grandchildren: Jason Carroll Roshto of Stonewall; Daniel Tyler Roshto of Pineville; Benjamin Hart Roshto of Waco,Tx; Blane Grayson Strange of Pineville; Tanner Reece Strange of Pollock; and Christopher Scott. Great Grandchildren: Kendall Brianne Roshto, Jackson Carroll Roshto, Hayden Russell Dees, Molly Ashlyn Dees, Hannah Grace Dees, Hadix Grayne Vercher, Hunter Alan Branch, Dylan Wade Scott, Kaylee Marie Olson, Kason Luke Strange, Kimmie Reece Strange, Brinlee Elizabeth Strange, and Remi Grayce Strange, 1 Great Great Grandchild Nova Rae Bradford and a host of family and friends who are left to cherish his memory.
