Obituary for Michael Wayne Boney
Mr. Michael Wayne Boney, age 67, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at his home in Ball, surrounded by his loving family.
The Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Gallagher Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The service will be on Friday, in the Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Andrew Cox and Reggie Murrell, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Malone Cemetery under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Boney and Della Gurganious Boney; and brother, Johnny James Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 48 years, Carolyn Bordelon Boney; daughters, Tara Vercher (David), Brandi Tharp (Charlie), and Nikki Boney (Mark); sisters, Faye Giddings, JoAnn Murrell, and Barbara Boswell; grandchildren, Lane Vercher (McKenzie), Landon Vercher, Kendal Tharp, Connor Tharp, Makenzie Tharp, Logan Comeaux, Maddie Comeaux, Ainsley Owens, Layla Owens, and Bryson Luke; great granddaughter, Brayleigh Vercher; and many many friends.
Mr. Boney was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was a hard worker, owing and operating Mike's Mobile Home Mover for over 25 years. He enjoyed being outside hunting, fishing, especially in his yellow Bullet. Mr. Boney dearly loved his family and will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
Pallbearers are Lane Vercher, Keith Giddings, Benny Bordelon, Duke Taylor, Landon Vercher, Kendal Tharp, and Logan Comeaux. Honorary Pallbearers are Arthur Brown, Junior Bordelon, David Vercher, Mark Henagan, and all remaining grandchildren.
