Mrs. Mary Louise Colston Gilcrease, age 63, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 in Alexandria at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
Services for Mrs. Gilcrease will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Steve Speer officiating. The visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
Mrs. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, crocheting, and watching Wheel of Fortune. Mrs. Mary loved life and loved the people in her life even more. She was so loved by people because she was willing to take the time to listen and care about others. Mrs. Mary Gilcrease will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin F. Colston and Anne L Mobley Colston; brothers, Alvin and Joseph Colston; and mother-in-law, Ima Ann Gilcrease.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 35 years, Steve Gilcrease; daughters, Fannie Malone (Christopher); step-daughter, Sarah Fletcher (Tyler); grandchildren, Xander Malone, MaKayla, Landyn, and Luna Fletcher; sisters, Linda Durham (Greg) and Marjorie Ann Taylor (Jimmy); brother, John David Colston; father-in-law, Curtis Alvin Gilcrease; sister-in-laws, Kathy Colston, Alice Colston, Sheila Gilcrease (Billy), Mandy Holden (Cedric), Jodi Ingles (James), and Melissa Miller (Tony); her favorite cat, Rascal; and a host of extended family and friends.
