Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Chelette will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory in Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Jason Huffman officiating . Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Ball, Louisiana.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory in Ball, Louisiana.
Mary Elizabeth Chelette, age 86, a resident of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternity on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray B. Chelette Sr.; her parents, John Lawrence Seidl and Madie Brister Seidl; and her sister, Florence Seidl .
She is survived by her sons, Benny Chelette (Connie), and Chris Chelette (Terri); her grandchildren, Morgan Bristo (Braden), Cole Chelette, and Paige Chelette; her great granddaughter, Eva Bristo; her sister, Norma Reed; other family and friends.
Mary was a lady of great faith and a member of Pineville Christian Church. Above all, her passion was spending quality time with her family. Truly one of a kind, Mary was as tough as nails with a personality larger than life! She loved her two boys and her grandchildren more than life itself and loved to brag to everyone about all of their accomplishments. If you started a conversation with her about them, you better be prepared for an ear full because she was always so proud and wanted everyone to know!
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in her memory.
