Obituary for Margie "Estelle" Wilkins (Pettway)

Graveside services for Margie Estelle Pettway Wilkins will be on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bentley with Brother Randy Murrell officiating.Visitation for Mrs. Wilkins will be at Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 18, 2020 beginning at 9:00 a.m. A funeral procession to Oak Grove cemetery will follow visitation leaving Gallagher Funeral home at 10:30 a.m.
Mrs. Wilkins, age 77 of Pineville entered eternal rest on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

Mrs. Wilkins was a Godly woman that loved her family and friends. She was an avid LSU and Saints football fan and enjoyed the simple pleasure of mowing grass. Estelle never met a stranger and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Mrs. Wilkins is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Wilkins, grandmother, Allie Mae Johnson Cory; her parents, Edward and Mildred Pettway; two brothers, J.C. Pettway and Kearny Pettway; a sister, Wanda Lawson and numerous sister and brother in laws and several dear friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tedra Wilkins Cheatham and husband Bill; two sons, Douglas "Mickey" Wilkins, and Gerald "Gene" Wilkins and wife Elizabeth; nephew Martin Pettway and wife Lisa; two sisters, Nellie Ruth Pettway Meador and Charlene Elaine Pettway and husband Thomas Faulkner, Jr; two brothers, Hershell Lee Pettway and Roy Glynn Pettway; 14 grandchildren, Jay Cheatham (Jenelle), Craig Cheatham (Halley), Kevin Cheatham, Heather Martin, Dustin Wilkins, Alexander Wilkins, Desiree Wilkins, Beau Wilkins, Ryan Wilkins, Ethan Wilkins, Sara Wilkins, Madison Kopp (Dylan), Clayton Pettway and Gracie Pettway; six great-grandchildren, Isabella McLaughlin, Charlotte Cheatham, Malaika Cheatham, Anabella Cheatham, Nathan Cheatham and Liliauna Cheatham and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends whom she loved and loved her.
