Obituary for Mable L. "Big Red" Weaver
Funeral services for Mable L. “Big Red” Weaver, will be held at 11: 00 AM on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the New Salem Baptist Church in Crews, Louisiana. Interment will follow at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Crews, Louisiana with Reverend Scott Tilton officiating and under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Visitation for Mrs. Weaver will be on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, beginning at 5:00 PM until at the church.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Nick Mobley, Corey Perkins, Jamie McCartney, Antwan Holmes, Garrett Weaver, Billy Higgins, and Christopher Lambert.
Honorary pallbearers are her 20 great grandsons.
Mrs. Mable L. Weaver, passed from death to new life on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at her home in Montgomery, Louisiana surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Weaver is preceded in death by her husband, Roy G. Weaver; her parents, Otho and Mary Lovell; her brothers, Wayne Lovell and Michael Lovell; and her sister, Shirley Lacaze.
She is survived by her loving children, Trina Lambert, Dana Weaver (Curtis), Felicity Mobley (Roy), Kevin G. Weaver (Penny), and Roy D. Weaver (Kim); her 17 cherished grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; her siblings, Willie Faye White, Helen Evans, Sue Lovell, Louise Martin, Bonnie Richmond, Lola Leone, Dorothy Midkiff, Margie Lovell, and Herman Lovell; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Mable worked various occupations that involved giving back to her community. She was a faithful member of New Salem Baptist Church in Crews, Louisiana. Her passion was spending quality time with her loving family and friends. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
