Obituary for Lydia Ann Lyons (Sales)

Memorial service for Mrs. Ann Lyons will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Family of Grace Church, North Campus, 1904 North Bolton Ave., Alexandria, Louisiana with Reverend Brad Webb officiating. Mrs. Lyons passed peacefully at the age of 78 in Alexandria, LA. Ann was born on May 19th, in Cranbrook, England the daughter of Stanley and Amelia (Maggs) Sales. She had five siblings Ronald (Ann), Peggy, Stanley (Daphne), Linda (Gary (2019)) and Sheila (John).
For 31 years Ann was married to William “Bill” A. Lyons until his passing in 1995. Ann raised the family while Bill served various deployments in the Air Force. They eventually retired and settled in Spokane, WA.

Ann had four children, Mark Lyons (Kathy) of Edmonds, WA, Ian “Bruce” Lyons of Spokane, WA, Julie Garrison (Dick) of Colbert, WA and Karen Konsbruck (David) of St. John, AZ. Her five grandchildren include Matthew Konsbruck (Heather), Marissa Lyons (Margaret), Ashleigh Lyons, Brent Lyons, Samantha Konsbruck. She had three great grandchildren, Carson, Niko and Henry

Ann loved volunteering and serving others. She enjoyed teaching children sewing, knitting and bible school. Ann served others through the VFW Post Auxiliary 1736 and Queen Bees of Christ. She was known to have knitting needles nearby at all times to knit hats for St. Jude and other children cancer centers.

Ann will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Mom was blessed with expansive list of friends in Alexandria. A special thank you to our Aunt Linda and cousins in Alexandria who supported and cared for mom, especially in her final days.
