Obituary for Luther "Marty" White
Funeral services for Mr. Luther “Marty” White will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory in Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Joey Rudisill officiating. Interment to follow at Springhill Cemetery, Pollock, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m until service time on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the funeral home.
Mr. Luther “Marty” White, age 87, entered eternal rest on Monday, November 8, 2021 in California.
Mr. White was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy White; his children, David Harrison, Jeff White, and Dottie Kerns; his parents, Eva McCan and Coy L. White; and his siblings, Leamon White, Charles Woodard, Billy White, Coy L. White Jr., Krider Ray McCan, and Cindy Henry.
He is survived by his daughters, Sue White, Diann Burger, and Sharon LaDue; his 7 grandchildren; his siblings, Grady L. White, Roy Gene White, George White, Irma Shoemaker, Patricia Kleinpeter, Kathy Konrath, and James McCan; his numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Marty was a retired supervisor in the frozen food processing industry. An avid fisherman, he was a proud US Navy Veteran serving his country during the Korean War. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
