Obituary for Loyd Michael Stephens
Funeral services for Loyd Michael Stephens will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time from the chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, La with Reverend Shane David officiating. Members of the military honor guard will be serving as active pallbearers and serving as honorary pallbearers will be Justin Stephens, Jathan Stephens, Jerry Burns, and Michael Rooks. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, LA.

Mr. Loyd Michael Stephens, age 71 of Alexandria, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Stephens was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Loyd honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, retiring after 30 years of faithful service. A man with a wonderful sense of humor, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and most of all, spending quality time with his family.
Mr. Stephens is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Stephens and Shirley Simpson Stephens; and his brother, Richard Stephens. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Leslie Guillory Stephens; 2 sons, Michael Sean Stephens (Brandy), and Gregory Joseph Stephens; 4 grandchildren, Justin Stephens, Madison Stephens, Jathan Stephens, Jozy Stephens; and 3 great grandchildren, Ainsley, Avalynn, and Gabriella; a brother, Jesse Carol Stephens (Lilia); a sister, Sylvia Stephens; other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to the local food bank or charity of the donor's choice.
