Funeral services for Louis Joshua “Joe” Hunt of Dry Prong, Louisiana will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory in Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Bill Nettles officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon
Mr. Hunt was born on January 11,1951 and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
He is preceded in death by his son, Timothy Shaun Hunt; his parents, L.E. Hunt and Lona Mae Singletary Hunt; his siblings, Jimmy Hunt, Carl Hunt, Faye Lincecum, Lillie Wilson, Mary Covington, Jerry Hunt, and David Hunt.
He is survived by his son, Eric Boyd Hunt (Kellie); his grandchildren, Raychel Hunt, Rebekah Hunt and Joshua Hunt; his siblings, Ann Hunt, Bobbie Genre, Buck Hunt, Fred Hunt, and Kittie Hunt; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A retired truck driver, Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a helpful friend to all and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
