Obituary for Laurretta Esther Janes Fontenot
Mrs. Laurretta Esther Janes Fontenot, age 66, entered eternal rest on Wednesday 29, 2022 at her home in Pollock, surrounded by her loving family.
The visitation for Mrs. Fontenot will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Gallagher Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am in the Chapel with Reverend Charles Viviano, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tabitha Baxley; son-in-law, Leonard Baxley; mother, Elizabeth Curl; father, Elvin Curl; and siblings, Albert Furrell, and Michelle Delvecchio, and first husband, Lloyd "Clyde" McLaughlin.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Patricia Baxley (Henry) and Lillian McLaughlin (Leonard); grandchildren, Melvin Baxley (Katlyn), Travis McLaughlin (Katie), Shelbie McLaughlin, Hunter Baxley, and Remington McLaughlin; great grandchildren, Nevaeh Baxley, Amelia Baxley, and Daniel McLaughlin; brothers, Leo Furrell (Tammy), Carl Furrell, Wayne Fielder, and Frederick Fielder (Penny); sisters, Darlene Fielder, Robbie Barron (David), and Renee Coutee; husband,Larry Fontenot and stepson, LaKari Fontenot; and a host of extended family and friends.
Mrs. Laurretta was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She worked hard for many years as a LPN and will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.
The family would like to thank Connie Tullis, Amanda Painter, Katie Reed, Ashley Wells and Shannon Walker of Compassionate Care Hospice and Ayanna Davis for providing care for their loved one, and loving her like she was their own.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Frederick Fielder, Wayne Fielder, Leo Furrell, Travis McLaughlin, Melvin Baxley, Jonathan Ward. Honorary Pallbearers are Hunter Baxley and Remington McLaughlin.
