Obituary for Katherine Olivia Thiels

Katherine Olivia Thiels entered our world at 12:17 AM on February 12, 2022 at Rapides Women and Childrens Hospital. She so quickly departed on February 16 at 3:51PM in the loving arms of her Mommy and Daddy. Katherine spent less than 5 days here on earth before returning to Jesus, but she touched the lives of all her family and the friends, who offered so much love and support and the many prayers . Our baby girls' purpose on this earth for the few days she was here was to be a testimony. For a baby we never even heard cry or saw open her eyes, she has touched so so many lives and now she is saving one, and possibly two more. She was born an angel. And the most beautiful one there is.

Katherine will always be loved and deeply cherished by her mother Suzanne "Suzie" Jenkins and father Blaine Thiels of Kolin, her big brother Houston Scott and big sister Llydia Scott. Waiting until they can see her again are also grandparents, Cody and Tammy (Pawpaw and Nana) Jenkins of Hineston,LA and Terri (Toots) Netherlin of Cloutierville,LA. Missing her also are loving Aunt Emily Jenkins and Uncle Colby Jenkins. She is also survived by great grandparents, Jimmie Netherlin(Kolin), Charles and Janet Thiels (Alexandria), Aaron and Bobbie Jenkins (Hineston), Susan Robinson(Leesville), and Dalton Robinson,(Hineston), as well as numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be held in Gallager Chapel, Pineville,LA at 2PM on Monday, February 21,2022 with burial at Palmer Chapel Cemetery, Kolin,LA. Presiding will be Katherine's great uncle, Brother Mickey Christy and Brother Steve Spear. Guests are asked to wear pink, purple or white to the services.
Suzie and Blaine invite everyone to join them for fellowship and celebration of their angel, immediately following in the church hall.

The family wishes to offer many heartfelt thanks to all the NICU staff(Doctors, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Respiratory Therapists) at Rapides Regional. The compassion and love shown to their precious baby girl during this difficult time was amazing.
