Obituary for Joseph "Nicholas" Serio

A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph “Nicholas” Serio, will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 2120 Elliott Street, Alexandria, Louisiana, with Fathers John Wiltse and Thomas Kennedy officiating, and under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are, William Sadler, Jeffery Farrar, Jordan Willis, Alec Porras, Justin Urbi, Caleb Bridges, Ascher Luke, and Paul Hood. Honorary pallbearers are, Boston Serio, Damion Brumfield, JJ Bayone, and Robert “Flee” Rambert.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 PM at Gallagher Funeral Home, 3994 Monroe Highway in Ball, Louisiana.

Nicholas Serio, age 23, of Alexandria, entered eternal life on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at his home in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Nicholas is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe T. Serio, Richard Ellison, and Melvin Epps; his uncle, Jason Brumfield; and cousin, Travis Bordelon.

He is survived by his parents, Amber Serio and Philip Serio; his sister, Natalie Serio; his brother, Boston Serio; his grandparents, Jean Serio, and Mary Epps; his aunts, Kim Robertson (Jason), Dawn Brumfield, Rebecca Ellison (Austin), Debbie Pias, Donna King (Kyle), his best friend, Annie Karam; his Godparents, Lisa Ritchie and Chad Pugh; numerous cousins, a host of other family and friends.

Nicholas was a 2018 graduate of Holy Savior Menard and attended LSUA. A skateboard enthusiast, Nicholas was a musician, writer, and soccer player. He enjoyed going to various music festivals. Above all, his passion was spending quality time with his family and friends. A wonderful son, patient big brother, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend, he will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
