Johnny Ray Crawford, 80, died on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at his residence in Dry Prong, Louisiana surrounded by family and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 in Greenwood Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM in Pineville, Louisiana. The interment will be under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.
He was born August 4, 1940 in Columbia, Louisiana. After serving overseas in the U.S. Army, he married his high school sweetheart, Bobbye Simmons Crawford, and attended Southeastern Louisiana University, earning his bachelor and masters degrees in Business Administration and Finance. Most of Johnny's professional career was in Hospital Administration, many of those years were spent at Rapides Regional Medical Center as the CFO. In his later years, Johnny enjoyed extended trips with his wife Arlene in their motor home. They traveled to places including, Canada, Europe, Africa, South America and the Caribbean.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Crawford and Thelma Franklin Crawford; and wife, Bobbye Simmons Crawford.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 27 years, Arlene Rabalais Crawford; daughter, Donya Crawford (Dale Craig); son, Todd Crawford; step-son, Luke Sharbono (Arlene) and Heath Sharbono; brother, Bill Crawford (Suzie); grandchildren, Courtland Halbrook (Tabitha), Sawyer Bordelon (James), Ross Crawford, Ian Crawford, Rylan Sharbono, and Josie Sharbono; great grandchildren, Judah Halbrook, Rilo Halbrook, Roland Bordelon, and Edlund Bordelon.
