Obituary for John August Catalani
John August Catalani, age 83 of Boyce, Louisiana passed away Friday, November 11, 2022 at his home. He was born in Lake Village, Arkansas on March 18, 1939 to Antonio Dravio and Ida Lucia Catalani.
John served on Lake Village, Arkansas Police Force for 13 years, 8 years as Chief of Police. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with friends and family. He was a faithful member of St. Margaret Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John August Catalani, Jr.; sister, Gloria Britton and brother, Pete Catalani.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann, of 59 years; daughter, Toni Catalani of Pineville, LA; grandsons, John Parker Ford pf Baton Rouge, LA and Jake Ford of Collierville, TN; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Joe Catalani of Pensacola, FL; Pat Hubbard of Cordova, TN; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial will be held at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, 402 Ryan in Boyce, LA on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flower, the family requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice.
