Obituary for Joe Daenen
Funeral services for Joe Daenen will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory in Ball, Louisiana with Rev. Tony Fuqua officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball, LA.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Ronald Juneau "Bubba", Matt Langston "Mack", Peyton Plaisance, Clayton Aymond, Michael Daenen, Kurt Daenen, Dale Daenen, and Clyde Gauthier "Bacon".
Joe Daenen, age 89, a resident of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternity on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Daenen and Mary Dupuy Daenen; his siblings, Louis Daenen Jr., Gloria Juno, Margaret Daenen, Marie Daenen, Pat Daenen, Bobby Daenen .
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Bernandine Ponthier Daenen; his loving children, Skip Laborde (Rachel), Gail LaPrarie, Tommy Laborde (Teresa), Tammy Brignac, and Edris McGlothlin; his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Joe was a retired car inspector with Union Pacific Railroad Company after 42 years of faithful service. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing. He was also a skilled wood worker and a farmer. Above all he enjoyed spending quality time with his family.
Joe was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
