Jimmy David Hotard, age 78, of Colfax, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at his residence in Colfax, Louisiana.
Jimmy is his preceded in death by his parents, Magnus and Selma Rodrique Hotard; his brothers, Jerry John Hotard, David M. Hotard, and Dale Anthony Hotard.
He is survived by his loving children, Jimmy Hotard Jr. (Ann), Sheila Stevens (Alvin Hebert), Toni Glenn and family, James Glenn and family, McClinton “Pedro” Gray, and Wanda Sheldon; his 22 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; his caring sisters, Marianne Hebert, Lana Boudreaux, and Patti Boudreaux; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Jimmy served as a US Merchant Marine. A jack of all trades, he was an off-shore worker for many years and owned his own gunsmith business. Jimmy enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all, his passion was spending quality time with his family and friends.
A wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Jimmy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
