Obituary for Jimmie Edward Ferrier
Mr. Jimmie Edward Ferrier, age 89, entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Woods Haven Nursing Home in Pollock.
Services for Mr. Ferrier will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home. The visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at noon. Interment will follow
In Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.
Mr. Ferrier was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Ferrier served for 23 years and 6 overseas deployments, in Communications as a Cryptographer.
After his military career he worked for many different companies including, Dresser, the VA, and DOTD. He enjoyed fishing and was known for his tomato plants. Mr. Ferrier will forever be missed by those who loved
And knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Ferrier, Sr. and Vivian McMills Ferrier; brothers, Harold Ferrier, Carl “T” Ferrier, Jr., Bobby Joe Ferrier, and J.W. Ferrier.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 65 years, Mrs. Claudette Toural Ferrier; son, Patrick “Gene” Ferrier; sister, Sissie Dillon and husband Jim; and many nieces and nephews.
