A Memorial Visitation for Mr. Hollingsworth will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. James Arthur Hollingsworth, age 84, of Deville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Monday, October 2, 2023 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel and Luvada Hollingsworth; and his sister, Janis Taylor.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Christine Gotts Hollingsworth; his loving children, Gary Hollingsworth (Stephanie), Tony Hollingsworth, and Kevin Hollingsworth (Sharon); his devoted grandchildren, Olivia Perin (Blake), Rosalyn Hollingsworth, Emily Hollingsworth, Jacob Hollingsworth, and Sean Hollingsworth; and 4 great grandchildren; his sister, Sheryl Clarke; his brother, Michael Hollingsworth (Charlotte); his numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
James is a proud retired US Air Force Veteran. An avid wood worker, James enjoyed genealogy research and study. Above all, his passion was spending quality time with his family who he loved dearly. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
