Obituary for James Allen Coutee, Sr.
Mr. James Allen Coutee, Sr., age 63 of Pineville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 19, 2023.
Visitation for James will be held at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana on Monday, October 23, 2023, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. Services will follow at 2:00 pm at Gallagher Funeral Home with interment at Greenwood Cemetery after. Officiating will be Reverend Stuart Sasser.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Ronnie Spurlock, Dru Lasyone, Kyle Stinson, Marcus Hudson, Dustin Lowery, and Bruce Mitchel.
James is preceded in death by his parents, James and Nellie Coutee; and siblings, William Earl Coutee, Betty Jean Spurlock, Mary Mayeur, and Janice Sheppard; and nephew, Victor Spurlock.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 45 years, Gwen Stinson Coutee; daughter, Michelle Renee Chelette (Tracy); sons, James Allen Coutee, Jr. and Billy Wayne Coutee (Liska); sisters, Shirley Marquez and Debbie Norris; grandchildren, Gabe, Shila, Adalea, Keaslie, Olivia, Izabella, Taylor, Sawyer, Alexander, Brantley, and Brock; and a host of brother and sister in laws, other family and friends.
James was a Peterbilt trucker, hauling construction and heavy equipment for most of his life, most recently at Diamond B. Construction. He loved being outside and doing outside things like camping and fishing. He loved his grandkids; they were his heart. James will truly be missed by everyone that loved and knew him.
