Obituary for Horace Leo Paulk
Mr. Horace Leo Paulk, age 85 of Deville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Cabrini hospital.
Visitation for Horace will be Monday, February 6, 2023, from 10:00-11:00 AM, with the service following at 11:00 AM. Visitation and services will be at Holloway Baptist Church with interment being at Holloway Baptist Church Cemetery.
Horace was preceded in death by his son, Horace Paulk, Jr.; parents, Jacob and Frankie Paulk; and two brothers, Leon and Guy Paulk.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Wanda Paulk; son, Marty Paulk (Karin); daughter, Lori Combs (Bruce); daughter-in-law, Meloydee Paulk; eight grandchildren, Courtney and Connor Combs, Marlee, Jacob, Mallori, John, Ariana and Davis Paulk; sister, Joyce Paulk Licciardi; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Horace’s two favorite hobbies were duck hunting and fishing. He was in the Army for 3 years and was a long-time member of Holloway Baptist Church. He drove a gravel truck for years and was a bus driver and custodian for Buckeye High School. He was a quiet man with outstanding integrity and character who had great love for his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
