Obituary for Herbert C. "Herb" Trahan
Funeral services for Mr. Herbert C. “Herb” Trahan will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Gallagher Funeral Home, 3994 Monroe Highway in Ball, Louisiana with Reverends Danny Aycock and Hal Modglin officiating.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Zachary Hendershott, Jacob Stacy, Dylan Dubroc, Gilbert Herrera, Barkley Darbonne, and Reed Hale. Honorary pallbearers are Lane Stacy and Dean Darbonne.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Herbert C. “Herb” Trahan, age 68 of Pineville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family.
Herb is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Trahan; and his father, Jerry Trahan.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pennie Trahan; his daughters, Wendy Turney (Gilbert), Lori Stacy (Craig), Michelle Darbonne (Barkley), and Jessica Trahan; his 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; his 2 sisters; his 1 brother; and a host of other family and friends.
Herb proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy from 1973-1993. He loved his time on the submarine and all of his crewmates. He loved to go fishing, hunting, playing video games, watching football, and spending time with family. Herb was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and he will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Special thanks to the staff at Christus Cabrini Medical Center for the wonderful and loving care they gave to Herb.
