Obituary for Helen "Elaine" Rachal Woodard
Funeral services for Helen “Elaine” Rachal Woodard will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 20, 2022 at First Baptist Church Dry Prong in Dry Prong, Louisiana with Reverend Lloyd Whitman officiating and under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana. Interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bentley, Louisiana.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Robert Seal, Ashley Mercer, Gerald "Scooter" Woodard, Dan Roberts, Ethan Lowe, Mike Hart, Steve Hart, and Billy Rachal, Jr.
Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and from 9:00 AM until service time on Friday.
Mrs. Helen “Elaine” Rachal Woodard entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Ruth Marie Rachal; and her brother, Charles Rachal.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Gary Woodard; her loving children, Apryl Price, and Brad Woodard (Erin); her devoted grandchildren, Hailee Price, and Camryn Woodard; her cherished siblings, Billy Rachal (Joan), and Linda Jowers (Jerry); and her numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Blessed with the gift of music, Elaine loved to sing, play musical instruments, and was a member of a gospel group called HIS. She also enjoyed gardening. Above all, her passion was spending quality time with her family and friends. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
