Obituary for Gillbert Orval Harris
Mr. Gilbert Orval Harris, age 80, entered eternal rest on Friday, September 15, 2023, at his home in Pineville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Harris and Ruby Simmons Harris; son, Todd Harris; siblings, Earlina Richardson, Martin Harris, and Dale Harris.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 29 years, Patricia Harris; sons, Kenneth Fisher (Alma), Chad Harris (Carol), and Kevin Fisher (Angela); sister, Lura Harris; 6 grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Beth Harris and Joann Gutekunst; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Harris was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was teach and coach before he moved into the oil field as a Safety Engineer. He enjoyed golf, watching football, and he will forever be missed.
