Memorial Services for George Steven “Steve” McKnight will be held on Friday, July 28,2023 at 11:00 AM at Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory in Ball, Louisiana with Karoly Schupkegel officiating.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday July 28,2023 from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
George Steven “Steve” McKnight, age 55, of Dry Prong, Louisiana, entered eternity on Saturday July 22,2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Bill “Mac” and Ethel McKnight.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Cumpton McKnight; his brothers, William David McKnight (Carolena Olson), and Greg McKnight; his mother-in-law, Betty Cumpton; his father-in-law, Scotty Cumpton (Faye); brother-in-law, David Cumpton (Regina); his nieces, Sarah McKnight, Sela McKnight, and Cara Cumpton; his fur baby, Jolie; his considered son, Trey Bradford; other family and friends.
Steve worked as a correctional officer for many years prior to working for Paragon Casino for 15 years in security. A Baptist by faith, Steve loved to play the computer game, World of Warcraft. On this game, he talked to other players from all over the country; and from Canada to Australia. Many of these people became friends through their playing of this game. He will be greatly missed all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. Jude's Children's Reasearch Hospital.
