Obituary for George Randolph Moreau

Mr. George Randolph Moreau, age 92, of Pineville, Louisiana, passed from this life on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. Services for Mr. Moreau will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Pineville, LA with Father Joy Anthony officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball, LA, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Moreau will be on Thursday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Pineville, LA , from 10:00 a.m., until time of service, A Rosary will be held at 11:30 a.m.

Born on Wednesday, February 19, 1930, in Moreauville, LA, he was the son of Albert Moreau and Exa Marie Lemoine Moreau. Mr. Moreau was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. Mr. Moreau spent most of his working career as a produce manager for A & P Grocery Company, retiring after 35 years. He also had a deep passion for woodworking, this gave him many happy hours after retirement creating beautiful pieces of furniture in his workshop. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting baseball caps, coins, guns, and knives. Most of all he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.

Mr. Moreau is preceded by his wife of 62 years, Anna Mary Bernard Moreau; brothers, Arthur Moreau and John Moreau; sisters, Dora Bernard, Agnus Lacour Lucas, and Lola Moreau Cross Richie.

Those left to cherish his memory is his son, Danny Moreau (Julie); daughter, Georgie Moreau Crump (Bill); grandchildren, Scott Moreau (Bridget), Amy Moreau LaGrange (David), Trey Crump, Chase Crump (Suzannah), Caitlin Crump; great-grandchildren, Cade, Sadie Kate, Julia, Nathan, Will, Juliana, Audrey, Ayda, JT, Anella, and Alisanne; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Scott Moreau, Cade Moreau, David LaGrange, Bill Crump, Trey Crump and Chase Crump; honorary pallbearers will be Sadie Kate Moreau, Julia LaGrange, and Will Crump.

Our family would like to offer our sincere heart felt thanks and gratitude to the amazing staff at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, who gave excellent healthcare supported by Compassionate Care Hospice to our dad during the final days of his life.

Also, a special thank you to all the nursing staff at Lexington House for the kindness, loving care, and friendship given to our dad for the last four years. We have made lasting relationships with families and residents that we will hold dear to our hearts.
