Obituary for Gene "Bobo" Snow

On December 2nd, Gene “Bobo” Snow passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 91. He was preceded in death earlier this year by the love of his life and his wife of 65 years, Nellois Wills Snow. They both spent their lives working to provide the best life and care for their family and others. He had more friends than we could ever count and touched the lives of so many from his years in the Navy, through his decades of work, and into retirement. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and he taught us how to enjoy and appreciate life, humor, music, and the great outdoors, along with showing us his great work ethic.

Gene is also preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanie Basco, and is survived by his three sons Jeff Snow (Trayce), Steve Snow and Darryl Snow. He is also survived by his five grandchildren (Scott Snow, Emily Calvert, Laura Moulton, Zeke Basco, and Ben Howerton), six great grandchildren, and his brother Roy Snow.

The Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Gallaher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Tioga at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Pollock Cemetery under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.

We will always remember his boundless love, his handsome smiling face, his beautiful singing voice, his generosity and fairness, the many fish fries that he and Nellois hosted for so many, and the many life examples that they both set for us to follow.
