Obituary for Gail Mae Bolton Dunn

Funeral services for Gail Mae Bolton Dunn will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Danny George officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Ball, Louisiana.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Gregory Bryant, Garett Dunn, Johnathan Roberts, Michael Rougeau, Ricky Bolton, and Grady Vance Bolton.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 9:00 AM until service time at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mrs. Gail Mae Bolton Dunn, age 79 of Woodworth, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Lexington House in Alexandria, Louisiana, surrounded by her loving family.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Floyd G. “Bobo” Dunn; her son, Greg Dunn; her parents, Solomon Grady Bolton and Ruthie Mae Bolton Plauche.

Mrs. Dunn is survived by her daughter, Stacy Dunn McCain (Joe); her son, James Rodney Dunn; her nine grandchildren, Gregory Bryant (Amber), Melissa Head (Michael Rougeau), Brandy Morace, Krysta Roberts (Johnathan), Garett Dunn, Kaylan Dunn, Joseph McCain, Jessica DeLoach (Daniel) and Maeghan George; her ten great-grandchildren; her sister, Jessie Bolton; her brothers, Grady Nolan Bolton (Donna), and Tony Plauche (Debra); her fur baby, Maggie Mae; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A 1961 graduate of Bolton High School, Gail served for over 29 years in many capacities in the banking industry beginning with the Bank of Lecompte and retiring as a Bank Manager with Red River Bank. She was longest serving alder women for the town of Woodworth, faithfully serving for 23 years.
Gail enjoyed cooking and fishing, and above all her passion was spending quality time with her loving family and friends. To know her was to love her and to be fed by her, as she was known to let none go hungry that visited.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
