Obituary for Frederick E. "Fred" Patterson
Frederick "Fred" Patterson, age 63, of Pineville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Rapides Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. Fred lived for and loved his family. Fred's pride and joy was his daughter Natasha. He would frequently comment on how he and Barbara raised such a fine human being...right up till the time he was called "Papa Fred'. His heart was full when grandchildren Mason and Atalie arrived.
Fred also loved motorcycles, had a great sense of humor, was witty, loved to help anyone in need and truly had a heart of gold. Fred never met a stranger, studied history, science and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Fred was preceded in death by his father, William R. "Harry" Harrington.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Barbara Patterson; his daughter, Natasha Patterson Melder (Jeremy); two grandchildren, Mason and Atalie Melder; his mother, Hilda Harrington; his sister, Kim Patterson; two brothers, Danny Patterson and Charles Patterson and a host of friends, motorcycle friends and family.
Fred's final request was to be cremated with a private family Celebration of Life at a later time.
