Obituary for Forest Etienne "Rab" Rabalais

A Mass of Christian Burial for Forest Etienne “Rab” Rabalais will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Tioga, Louisiana with Father Rick Gremillion officiating and under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Ball.

Pallbearers honored to serve are B.J. Seal, Marcus Kerry, Gary Ball, Jon White, Ethan White, Steven Rabalais, Timothy Rabalais, and Greg Kirkland.

Visitation for Mr. Rabalais will be on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM with recitation of the Rosary at 10:00 AM at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Forest Etienne “Rab” Rabalais, age 78, of Ball, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at his home in Ball, surrounded by his loving family.

Rab is preceded in death by his parents, Seltz Joseph Rabalais and Lolita Marie Aymond Rabalais; and his siblings, Burris Joseph Rabalais and Lena Ducote.

Left to cherish his memory are, his beloved wife of 58 years, Patricia Ann Hollingsworth Rabalais; his loving children, Selena Ann Rabalais of Tioga, Louisiana, Steven Forest Rabalais (Allyson) of Vancleave, Mississippi; and Stacie Renee Rabalais Kerry of Ball, Louisiana; his 7 grandchildren, Steven N. Rabalais (Ruth), Timothy Rabalais, B.J. Seal, Jennifer White (Jon), Catherine Kerry, Marcus Kerry, and Torrie Ball (Gary); and his 8 great grandchildren, Ethan White, Jeremiah McKithern, Landon McKithern, Kylee Single, Raven Ball, Nolan Ball, Ariel Ball, and Kole Seal; his numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Rab was an active parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Tioga, Louisiana, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. He was known as a master storyteller and jokester who could always be counted on for a laugh. He loved OP (Other People’s) Beer and was the founder of the ROMEO club. Rab was a faithful man to his church, family and friends, and he will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
