Mrs. Faye Carnahan, age 89 of Pineville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 17, 2022.

Faye was born in the community of Alfalfa, Louisiana, near Boyce, to Elbert and Elizabeth Graves on December 10, 1932. She was raised in the local area, primarily in Pineville. After school, she worked for Rapides General Hospital as an X-ray Technologist and a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. She was one of the first five to be registered in the State of Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 17 years, Don Carnahan; two sisters, Joyce Shealy and Annette Ruchert; two brothers, Carl Graves and Phillip Graves.

Those left to honor her memory include two sisters, Shirley Scullane (Donald) and Linda Hennagan; one brother, Richard Graves (Myra); three children, Earl Winston Bonds (Edie), Arlene Davis (Wesley), Sharon Campbell (John); one daughter in faith, Holly Woodruff (Bill); eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

Faye was happiest when she was outdoors tending her vast flower garden and raising chickens and goats, always with a faithful dog by her side. She had many diverse interests including sculpture and sailing the open seas. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on February 17, 2002 and spent many hours sharing her beliefs with others. Her faith and example as a Christian were evident in her daily life. Those who requested her advice could depend on it for the wisdom it displayed and the love it showed.
