Memorial services for Mr. Evert Eugene Handy will be held at River of Life Church on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 12:00 P.M.
Mr. Evert Eugene Handy, age 84 of Cotile Lake community entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Handy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marianne Handy; his parents, Evert Huston Handy and Edith Mae Blake Handy; and a granddaughter, Tara Tassin.
Mr. Handy is survived by a daughter, Sherry Reed of Cotile; two sons, Karl Handy (Karen) of Cotile and Mike Handy (Kris) of Centerpoint; niece, Mary Ann Bandy (Sonny) of North Benton, OH; six grandchildren, Derek (Randi), Brandon (Karla), Byron (Aaron), Braxton (Morgan), Matthew (Robin) and Jayden; eleven great-grandchildren, Axel, Olivia, Madison, Jo Anna, Tucker, Stetson, Alydia, Vivian, Jacob, Anna and Nancy.
Mr. Handy was a proud Retired US Air Force Veteran, and a founding member of River of Life Church in Alexandria, Louisiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place
