Obituary for Edgar William "Bubby" Deville

Funeral services for Mr. Edgar "Bubby" Deville, age 59 of Deville will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Harmony Church in Deville, La. with Reverend's Richie Craig and Shan Van Norman officiating. Burial will be in Burlew Cemetery under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana. Visitation for Mr. Deville will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Harmony Church, 16 Bell Road, Deville, La. Family requests all in attendance please observe all Covid-19 precautions by wearing a mask and social distance.

"Bubby" Deville entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

Mr. Deville was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. "Bubby" loved his family, His God and was a faithful servant to both. "Bubby" retired as a Colonel from the Department of Corrections after 30 years. He also served as Assistant Commander of the Tactical and Chase teams during tenure with the department of corrections. He was a member of Harmony Church, member of the Cenla Dutch Oven group, Vice President of Noah's Ark Ministry, enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing and tending to his "peacocks". He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Mr. Deville was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy and Mertie Deville and two brothers, Spencer Deville and Lane Deville.

"Bubby" Deville is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Robin Hudson Deville; his daughter, Tiffany Deville; his son, Devon Deville; two grandchildren, Seth Deville and Kylah Roy; his sister, Bonnie Phillips (Stanley) and his brother, Dayton Deville (Roxanne).

Pallbearers honored to serve are Devon Deville, Dylan Ducote, Thomas Burlew, Keith Deville, John T. Deville, Dennis Wilson, Cliff Fairbanks and Luke Belgard; honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Bacon, Seth Deville, Dayton Deville, Spencer Deville, Johnny Deville and Mark Hudson.
