Doug was an avid history buff, who especially enjoyed participating in re-enactments. He was a very loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Throughout his lifetime, Doug was very involved in the bus ministry, bussing in many children to churches throughout the state, so that they could receive the experience of Jesus Christ.
Two weeks ago, he entered the hospital as a result of COVID-19, the devastating virus that is affecting so many families across the country and the world. This past Sunday, he was released from the hospital and has been recuperating at home. On Friday, November 20, he began having severe pain in his back and was rushed to the hospital. The hospital informed him that he was having a bout with arthritis and sent him home. However, in the wee hours of the morning on November 21, he became painfully uncomfortable again and then became unresponsive. He passed away after his wife and daughter, then first responders performed life-saving measures. Doug was only 50 years old.
