Obituary for Doris Hudspeth Bordelon
Doris Mattie Hudspeth Bordelon, 74, of Jena, LA passed from this life Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Colfax Reunion Nursing and Rehab Center in Colfax, LA. She was born May 3, 1947 in Jena, LA to the late John Benjamin Hudspeth and Edith Firth Hudspeth.
Doris was a 1965 graduate of Jena High School and a life long resident of Jena, LA. She was well known in the community because of her many years of working at Ginny’s Restaurant and the local banks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jerry Earnest Hudspeth; and her sister, Joan Dian Hudspeth.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Emeric Paul Bordelon Jr; her granddaughter, Emily Bordelon Strout and husband, Christian; her sister, Christine Neal; and her brother, John R. Hudspeth.
Cremation services were under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home in Pineville, LA. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service Friday, February 4, 2022 from 6-8 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church in Trout, LA. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and stories.
