Funeral Services for Donna Futrell smith will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana with Kirk Maxey officiating. Interment to follow at Mars Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday December 9, 2022 from 12:00 Noon until service time at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana.
Donna Futrell Smith, age 68, of Alexandria, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at her residence in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Velma Futrell; her siblings, Carolyn LaCour, Judy Pascal, Mike Futrell, and Paula Collins; and her niece, Molly Hutchins.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Wendy Heck (Robert), and Hannah Aune (Adam); her cherished grandchildren, Caroline Heck, Carter Heck, Holden Aune, and Jackson Aune; her sister, Betty Hutchins; father of her daughters, Joe Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Donna was a Social Worker by trade and that extended to her personal life as she was a kind-hearted and generous lady who was always at her best when caring for others. She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing games, crossword puzzles, watching classic TV shows as well as Jeopardy and all of the Law and Order series and Criminal Minds. Her biggest passion in life was spending quality time with her loving family and friends. A wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
